Christian Goetz is 2nd generation German American on both sides of his family and was raised speaking German by his parents in their hometown of Flint, Michigan. He has three younger siblings all of whom (along with his parents) are educators. After studying computer science for his first couple of semesters at Grand Valley State University, Christian choose to switch his major to political science in order to focus more on writing, analysis, and international affairs.
