„Cambodia...
...not only geographically somewhere between Thailand and Vietnam.
You could say it
also about the khmer cuisine: somehow in between?
Well, it's not quite right.. not so spicy as thai and not so coriander-heavy as viet. The influences are definitely there, everything a bit more delicate, more harmonious and less dominant.
We have been there more often over the years, initially in the Seelingstraße/Charlottenburg.
I would like to highlight the taste of the banana blossom salad and the octopus salad. The highlight as a main course are certainly the fondues and the fire pots. The "Dot Sach Leu Tok" (beef grilled at the table) falls a bit from my point of view. Maybe you should try something unusual like the eel, it's really good too.
Be careful with the "Köstritzer" black beer, since it doesn't really work, it's often "musty".
The service is authentic southeastasian friendly. However, special requests can lead to communication problems. Those who speak English have a clear advantage.
